Privacy Policy

Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to the DevDex website and its developer tools. The service operator is identified publicly as DevDex. This policy does not govern websites, advertising services, or other products operated by third parties.

Data DevDex tools process

The current tools perform their core operations in your browser. Text, code, tokens, images, and other content you enter into a tool are generally processed by client-side JavaScript and are not intentionally sent to a DevDex application API for the tool operation.

You should still avoid entering secrets or regulated, confidential, or highly sensitive personal data. Browser extensions, compromised devices, third-party scripts, or future feature changes may create risks outside the intended local processing described here.

Hosting and technical data

When you request a DevDex page, hosting and network systems may process basic technical information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service. This can include an IP address, request time, requested path, referring page, browser or device information, response status, and similar server or security log data.

DevDex does not use the current browser tools to intentionally build an account profile from the content you enter. If you email support, DevDex processes your email address, message, and any information you choose to include so the inquiry can be reviewed and answered.

Browser storage

DevDex stores your English or Indonesian language preference in localStorage under a DevDex-specific key. This lets the interface remember your choice on later visits. This preference stays in your browser until you clear site data, use browser controls to remove it, or replace it with another selection.

Third-party services may use separate cookies or browser storage as described below. Clearing or blocking storage may reset preferences or affect some site and advertising behavior.

Third-party advertising and Google cookies

When advertising is enabled on DevDex, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to DevDex or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to DevDex and/or other sites.

Google and its partners may also use browser storage, IP addresses, device identifiers, and information about visits or interactions to deliver, measure, limit, personalize, or report ads, depending on your settings, consent choices, location, and applicable requirements. Ads may not appear on every visit or page.

You may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. You can also learn how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services, and may use the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page for participating third-party vendors. Browser and available consent controls may also let you limit cookies, although doing so can affect advertising behavior.

Security and retention

DevDex uses reasonable technical and operational measures appropriate to a public website, but no website, device, browser, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device and for deciding what content is appropriate to process.

The language preference remains until it is changed or cleared in your browser. Hosting and security logs are retained only as reasonably needed for service operation, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, security, and applicable obligations, subject to the practices of the hosting providers involved. Support correspondence may be retained while needed to respond, maintain a record of the issue, prevent abuse, or meet applicable obligations. Google determines retention for data it processes under its own policies.

Your choices

• Do not enter information into a tool if you are not comfortable processing it in your browser.
• Clear DevDex site data or localStorage through your browser to remove the saved language preference.
• Use browser settings to block or delete cookies and other site data, understanding that some behavior may change.
• Use Google privacy and advertising controls where available.
• Contact DevDex to ask about support correspondence you previously sent. A request may need enough information to identify the message, and some records may be retained where reasonably necessary or required.

Children’s privacy

DevDex is a general developer utility and is not directed to children. DevDex does not knowingly use the tools to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support message or another part of the service, contact DevDex so the situation can be reviewed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the service, legal requirements, or third-party services change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective or last-updated date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the site when appropriate.
