About DevDex
Practical developer tools, ready when you need them
DevDex brings focused utilities for formatting, encoding, inspection, comparison, generation, and everyday development work into one clear interface.
What DevDex is
DevDex is a browser-based developer toolkit designed to reduce the friction of switching between small, frequently used utilities. It includes tools for tasks such as formatting JSON and SQL, encoding text, decoding JWT structure, converting timestamps and colors, testing regular expressions, comparing text, and editing images.
The service is operated under the DevDex brand. DevDex does not present itself as a company, professional adviser, certification authority, or security audit service.
How the tools work
The current DevDex tools perform their core transformations in your browser. Content entered into those tools is generally handled by client-side JavaScript rather than intentionally submitted to a DevDex application API for processing.
The website still needs hosting infrastructure to deliver pages, and third-party advertising may load separately. Those services may process technical request or advertising data as described in the Privacy Policy. Your selected language is stored in your browser using localStorage.
Our design priorities
- Keep common developer workflows fast and understandable.
- Use clear inputs, outputs, validation messages, and practical documentation.
- Process tool content locally in the browser where the current feature supports it.
- Provide an interface that works across desktop and smaller screens.
- Explain meaningful limits instead of making unsupported security or reliability promises.
Important limits
Developer utilities can produce incorrect, incomplete, or unsuitable results when inputs are malformed, assumptions differ, or underlying libraries have limitations. A decoded value is not the same as a verified or trusted value. Generated passwords, hashes, formatted code, schedules, test data, and other output should be reviewed before use in a production, security-sensitive, financial, legal, or safety-critical context.
DevDex is provided as a convenience. You remain responsible for deciding whether a tool and its output are appropriate for your use case.
Help improve DevDex
Questions, accessibility feedback, correction requests, privacy inquiries, and reproducible bug reports are welcome. Include the tool name, browser, and steps that led to the issue, but do not email passwords, private keys, access tokens, production data, or other secrets.
